We do not accept any form of private insurance. We accept Medicare for Medicare-covered services, but all members — Medicare and non-Medicare — pay our annual membership fee. For non-Medicare members, this includes the annual physical, follow-up and acute visits, plus access to complementary, functional and integrative care. For Medicare members, the fee covers access to services Medicare doesn’t cover, such as integrative and functional care, hypnosis, narrative medicine, Anti-fragility, T’ai Chi, Qigong, MBSR, advanced medication techniques and certain biofeedback or device-based approaches.

Yes. We are not an insurance plan or service of any type. If you have private insurance or none, our membership and services are strictly cash-based. If you have Medicare, our fees are designated to cover services Medicare doesn’t. Either way, you still need your own insurance for hospitalizations, surgery, ER visits, specialty care and any services not performed in our office.

Just 100–150 patients per doctor — compared with 400–600 at most concierge practices and 2,000–2,500 in traditional medicine. A deliberately small panel is what allows us to truly know you and customize your care.

Yes. We provide phone follow-up and, when appropriate, office care outside traditional hours. Members reach us directly through the secure Spruce app for both text and phone contact with their doctors.

You may choose any hospital system. We coordinate your aftercare and ongoing care post-hospitalization, and work with specialists of all types from any hospital system — but we don’t dictate where you go.

We provide care for snowbirds at no additional charge beyond our membership fee and usual charges, coordinating care in your other locations and while you travel where feasible and permitted. We do need to see you once a year in Arizona.

We welcome international patients. We provide detailed consultation and testing when we see you at our Arizona offices, and afterward — as permitted — we’re available for secure portal email, phone and telemedicine consultations, plus coordination of our services with your other care.

Yes. We use HIPAA-compliant, secure, cloud-based encrypted medical records accessed through a secure portal, which lets us coordinate care, prescribe and review your history from the office or remotely. Our record interfaces with a secure phone app called Spruce, supporting both text and direct phone contact with your doctors — included with your membership.
